I. Trusting that we have come under the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through faith and repentance. And upon our confession have been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We do now renew our covenant with one another. Seeking that in our fellowship God would be most glorified in His Church.
(Mark 1:15; John 3:3; Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:41; Col. 1:18)
II. We commit to not neglect the assembling of ourselves together in worship and fellowship. We will pray for one another, as we rejoice together and bear up one another’s burdens. We will remind and encourage one another to remain faithful to our calling in Christ Jesus and seek to abstain from ungodliness.
(Heb. 10:25; 1 Thess. 5:17; Romans 12:15; Romans 6:4; Titus 2:12)
III. We will preserve the truths of Scripture and commit ourselves wholly to its teaching. We commit ourselves to the leading of the Holy Spirit in our Church and submit to our leadership as it is in accordance with the Scriptures. We will joyfully and sacrificially give of our resources and time to the work of ministry. The Church shall seek to grow in its spiritual giftings and talents as is fitting for the believers to do, seeking to serve as Christ has served us.
(Jude 1:3; Acts 9:31; Heb. 13:17; 2 Tim 3:16; Prov. 3:9; 1 Peter 4:10; Eph. 4:12-3; Matt. 20:28)
IV. We, the Church, humbly receive our calling as the appointed means by which the Gospel is proclaimed. We will uphold a loving demeanor toward our community, welcoming all people as they are created in the image of God. We will support the testimony of our Church as those called by the name of Christ. Often praying for and engaging in the growth of the Kingdom of God near and far unto Christ return.
(Col. 1:28; Luke 14:23; 1 Peter 4:9; Romans 12:18; Rev. 7:9; 1 Peter 2:9-10)
V. We commit ourselves to the oversight of one another’s discipleship. We commit to cultivating a spirit of unity, by acting in love toward one another and pursuing the ministry of reconciliation. As the members we submit to the exercise of brotherly exhortation, admonishing, and discipline as occasion may require. That Christ Church might be presented as pure in all respects.
(Peter 1:22; Heb. 3:13; Eph. 4:3; Luke 17:3; Gal. 6:1; Matt. 16:19; Matt. 18:15-20)
